A complete residence fit-out in Dubai: SecretDoors concealed doors and veneered wall panels by ET GROUP

ET GROUP has successfully completed the fit-out of a premium private villa in Dubai, UAE. The brief was to create a seamless, aesthetically flawless space in which contemporary architectural trends sit in harmony with the comfort of natural materials.

The interior concept was built around a combination of bespoke natural veneer wall panels and innovative concealed doors from the SecretDoors collection.

Architectural solutions and project highlights

1. A seamless space with SecretDoors

To preserve the visual coherence and restraint of the interior, concealed doors from the SecretDoors series were specified throughout. Doing away with traditional architraves and using a concealed frame allowed the door leaves to be set perfectly flush with the walls.

Because both surfaces share the same natural veneer finish, the doors literally dissolve into the wall plane, forming one continuous monolithic surface. This emphasises the architectural geometry of the villa, visually raises the ceiling height and lends the interior a premium sense of rigour.

2. Veneered wall panels

Wall panels in fine timber species became the defining feature of the hallway and living area. The natural grain softens the coolness of stone and marble, striking a balance between contemporary minimalism and the warmth of nature.

Perfect grain matching: the veneer was selected individually with the direction of the grain in mind, creating an unbroken rhythm across the full expanse of the wall construction.
