Product Warranty
Warranty Terms
Welcome to etgroup.ae. Set out below are the official warranty terms covering ET GROUP products within the United Arab Emirates (UAE). These terms have been drawn up in accordance with UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and other applicable national legislation.
1. Manufacturer's warranty
- Product quality is guaranteed by the manufacturer itself — ET GROUP.
- With more than 25 years of experience in designing and manufacturing doors and sliding systems, ET GROUP applies internal quality requirements that exceed baseline national standards.
- Whatever the distribution channel within the UAE, the manufacturer provides:
- 2 years (24 months) warranty on doors and aluminium alloy structures;
- 1 year (12 months) warranty on all other products (furniture, lighting, building materials) and on door hardware (closers, locks, hinges).
- The warranty period runs from the date of purchase shown on the final Tax Invoice. Provided the operating guidelines are followed, the expected service life of our products is at least 10 years.
2. What the warranty covers (scope)
The warranty provides for the free rectification of hidden manufacturing defects, and the repair or replacement of structural components, in respect of:
- Retention of the geometric shape, integrity and stated dimensions of the product;
- Retention of the strength of welded, mechanical and adhesive joints;
- Retention of the elasticity and correct performance of rubber and silicone seals;
- Retention of the specified technological gap (rebate clearance) between the door frame and the leaf;
- Retention of the integrity of the finish on door hardware and the absence of any signs of metal corrosion.
The warranty covers the free supply of the components and parts to be replaced, together with certified installation work carried out by ET GROUP specialists.
3. Limitations of liability and construction/installation risks
- The manufacturer does not carry out general construction work involving the alteration of wall openings, the finishing of reveals or the forming of installation joints.
- The customer assumes all risk and financial responsibility for any consequences of unqualified alteration of openings or wall finishing, and for any deviation of the installation joints from the approved project documentation.
- The manufacturer is fully released from its warranty obligations where structures are installed into openings that are not suitable for the purpose under the applicable UAE building codes and regulations.
- The ET GROUP warranty does not extend to any components, hardware or materials supplied by the customer.
4. The effect of the UAE climate and air conditioning (HVAC)
Given the specific conditions of the UAE climate — extremely high outdoor temperatures and the constant use of air conditioning indoors — doors and furniture must be used strictly in accordance with the building's operating guidelines:
- Indoor temperature should be maintained between +20°C and +24°C, with relative humidity in the range of 30–50%.
- Keeping the supply and extract ventilation and the air conditioning (HVAC/AC) systems in good working order so as to maintain this indoor climate is the direct responsibility of the customer.
- Where a breach of these climatic conditions is identified — no air conditioning in an unoccupied property, excess humidity caused by AC leaks, or direct exposure to incorrectly directed airflow from split units — and this has caused deformation of timber components or veneer, any claim as to product quality will be considered unfounded and will not be accepted for review.
5. What the warranty does NOT cover
Warranty service is not provided and the manufacturer's obligations are void in the following cases:
- Failure to follow ET GROUP's official installation instructions (where installation was carried out by third-party contractors) or the product operating guidelines;
- Mechanical, thermal or chemical damage caused by improper handling or storage, or by exposing the product to aggressive solvents, acids, alkalis or abrasive cleaning agents;
- Evidence of DIY or unqualified repair, alteration of the structure, or the fitting of third-party hardware or additional equipment not provided for in the design;
- Application of a decorative finishing layer (for example micro-cement, decorative plaster or heavy paints) to door leaves that were not originally supplied with a dedicated internal stabiliser;
- Damage to or destruction of the product caused by force majeure or natural disasters (floods, fires, sandstorms, earthquakes), or by the deliberate or negligent acts of third parties;
- Absence of the original Tax Invoice and warranty certificate, or any alteration of these documents by persons not authorised to do so by ET GROUP.
6. How to make a claim and how claims are settled
- Warranty and service work is provided once a formal written request has been sent to the etgroup.ae support email, enclosing photo/video material and a copy of the invoice.
- ET GROUP accepts no liability for any indirect loss, loss of profit or temporary inconvenience suffered by the customer during any period in which they were unable to make full use of the product while repair or diagnostic work was carried out.
- Rectification of defects arising from causes other than manufacturing faults, as well as any post-warranty servicing, is carried out in the UAE on a commercial basis at the customer's expense against a quotation agreed in advance.
- Any disputes or disagreements that cannot be resolved through negotiation between the parties shall be referred to the competent authorities and courts of the United Arab Emirates and settled in accordance with applicable UAE law.
